ഈ പേര് ഞാന് 20 വര്ഷം മുന്പാണ് ആദ്ദ്യമായി കണ്ടത് .. ഒരു കാസ്സെറ്റ് ന്റെ പുറത്തു .
എന്റെ പെങ്ങള്ക്ക് ആദ്യമായി ജോലികിട്ടിയപ്പോ എനിക്ക് വാങ്ങിത്തന്ന സമ്മാനം .. അതായിരുന്നു അത് .

രാംമോഹന്റെ ഈ പോസ്റ്റ് എന്നെ വീണ്ടും കൊച്ചിയിലെത്തിച്ചു ... 1988 ലെ ഡിസംബര് 31 .. FRY's restaraunt..ലെ ആ രാത്രി..
അന്നെന്റെ കൂടെ ഹാര്മോണിയം വായിച്ചത് എന്റെ ഉപ്പ, തബല വായിച്ചതോ , പ്രശസ്ത സംഗീത സംവിധായകന് അലക്സ് പോളിന്റെ അപ്പന് ..സാക്ഷാല് പോള് മാഷ് ..
അതൊരു കാലം .. എന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരായിരുന്ന അലക്സ് പോളും, ഉദയനും ... രണ്ടു പേരും അസ്സലായി പാട്ട് കമ്പോസ് ചെയ്യും .. രണ്ടു പേരും പാട്ടുകള് എഴുതുകയും ചെയ്യും .. അലക്സ് പൊള് എല്ലാരും അറിയുന്ന ആളായി .. ഉദയന് ഭക്തിഗാന രംഗത്ത് ധാരാളം compositions ചെയ്തു .. സിനിമയില് വരാനുള്ള ഭാഗ്യം ഇതേവരെ കിട്ടിയില്ല .. ഈ പോസ്റ്റില് രണ്ടു പാട്ടുകള് ഉണ്ട് , അതില് ഒരെണ്ണം ഉദയന് എഴുതി - സംഗീതം കൊടുത്തതാണ് ...

ഒരു രാഗമാല കോര്ത്തു (നൌഷാദ് - ധ്വനി )
കൊച്ചിയില് നിന്ന് ഇടപ്പള്ളിയിലെക്കുള്ള ഒരു ബസ് യാത്രയില് അദ്ദ്യംമായി ഈ പാട്ട് കേട്ടപ്പോള് തോന്നി - ഇവന് ആള് കൊള്ളാല്ലാ , നൌഷാദ് സാബിന്റെ പാട്ട് നല്ല അസ്സലായി കോപ്പി ചെയ്തു മലയാളത്തില് പാട്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയോ ? - പിന്നീട് മനസ്സിലായി അത് നൌഷാദിന്റെ തന്നെ composition ആണെന്ന് ... :-)

ഒരു മുകേഷ് ജി - ഗാനം..
Here is a song, by the late singer - Mukesh Ji. I first heard this song, while I was studying in 7th standard, in a "Mehfil" at the 'Shaadi Mahal' , in Kochi. I was completely in awe at the singer , who sang the song. It was none other than - "Mammu" , who was very famous among the people of Kochi, during 60s.
So, here is that song as tribute for "Mammu", who is among the numerous great singers Kochi gave birth, who couldn't come to the lime light ( and sing malayalam Ghazals ? :-)) ) , since they didn't know anything other than creating great music... Song : Aansoo Bhari Hai

After a Looong break , let me start with one of the private album songs of Mohammed Rafi Saheb, you'll find the recording to be bit crude, you know what - the guy go to do what he got to do :-), so here it is , with all the imperfections. This was sung just like that ... no back ground music... no Taal, ( no shruthi too , you never know , since it is me singing right ? :-)..)
We all know how great a singer Rafi Sahab was. I consider myself fortunate, to have the songs of Rafi saheb in my life , from the very beginning.
